We're all grasping for something.
That's what really struck me during my time in New York. I got a clear sense that we're all just trying to make it.
Aspiring artist, sincere journalist and well meaning taxi cab driver.
New York is amazing becauuse it consists of diverse human beings all living, breathing and working in the same area.
New York is the result of humans reaching for the greatest that they can achieve.
But however, therein lies the problem.
By doing this people are limiting themselves. We've all heard the saying "no man is an island unto himself".
Human achievement stops there. Where is God in all this? If these amazing people can come to terms with it, then God is right there.
God can be found once they face their broken dreams, and unmet desires.
Until then, New York will remain a beatiful and blossoming city, yet desperately empty and hungry for something more.
