The Poetry of Andrew Hjelle
the times of remembrance, unidentified purity, memories of sweet
parades
straight to the tooth
old trees, spindle branches twisting around the center oak, aged
water
gaining upward motion.
and unswept parking lots and the cracked yellow lines
near the light poles with their yellow concrete bases solid to the
ground.
